New paper on Phytophthora root rot disease in chickpea

Biometry Hub senior researcher Dr Julian Taylor has published a new paper which shows that a hydroponics-based screening system will facilitate reliable and rapid screening in both small- and large-scale experiments to study Phytophthora root rot (PRR) disease in chickpea.

The article in the journal Plant Methods, explains that this process can be applied in chickpea breeding programs to screen for PRR resistance and classify the virulence of new and existing P. medicaginis isolates.
