Visual Sample Plan Workshop

Statisticians gather online for sampling workshop

A workshop was presented by Mr Brenton Pulsipher, Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), USA on 11 September to  a group of 40 statisticians in SAGI-III on the functionality and the history of development of the Visual Sampling Plan software. The software presents methods for sampling in environmental monitoring, quality control and hazard assessment. All the methods are originated from real-life problems and are user-oriented. The software is free to download and is currently supported by the team of developers at PNNL. Mr Pulsipher is providing training online. While not immediately available for agriculture and viticulture sampling, the software may be of interest to biometricians and data practitioners.
