Chemistry student awarded Fulbright scholarship

Congratulations to chemistry PhD student Nicholas Schumann who has been awarded a 2020 Fulbright scholarship.

Nic will spend six months at Utah Valley University working on the design and synthesis of novel and potent inhibitors of Hip1, a drug target for Tuberculosis.

Nic's PhD in medicinal chemistry is with the Abell Group in the School of Physical Sciences. He is also a member of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Nanoscale Biophotonics (CNBP) and the Institute for Photonics & Advanced Sensing (IPAS).
