Participants wanted for Cabernet Sauvignon wine tasting
School of Agriculture, Food and Wine researchers are looking for regular wine consumers to participate in sensory trials to rate wine in terms of its aroma, flavour and mouthfeel attributes.
This study is part of an ARC Training Centre for Innovative Wine Production research project about managing and understanding the effects of vineyard management techniques that reduce heterogeneity of berry maturity in wine.
The knowledge gained form this project could assist the wine industry in Australia to increase the value of wine produced, plus give an understanding of the effects of certain vineyard management practices on heterogeneity.
About the trials
The trial is composed of one session, which includes a five minute survey followed by 20 to 30 minutes of evaluating four wines. Participants will rate wine samples in terms of appropriate aroma, flavour and mouthfeel attributes.
To participate, you must be residing in Australia, be 18 years of age or older, and have consumed red wine at least once in the last month.
Participants in the study will receive a $10 gift voucher.
To ensure social distancing, participants need to register to attend at specific days and times. If you are aged over 18 and able to participate, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and advise which days you can attend and at what time.
