Genomics of tropical composite beef cattle

This ruminant animal science project aims to improve the accuracy of breeding value estimation in a commercial breeding program.

We currently undertake genetic evaluation for a tropical beef breeding program.

There are opportunities for you to undertake a project that can improve the data analysis techniques. This project will likely include visits to Queensland for data collection and analysis.

Key methodology: Analysis using mixed models in R.
