Evaluation of monoclonal antibodies in detection of avian influenza antigens
Evaluate different recombinant and non-recombinant monoclonal antibodies against M2e antigen of avian influenza virus, to find the most reactive antigens and antibodies.
A panel of monoclonal antibodies has been developed in our virology research lab. These antibodies have different reactivity to the viral antigens. The reactivity of these antibodies will be evaluated against short peptides and the whole antigen will be mapped in peptide ELISA methods.
Key methodology: ELISA and peptide mapping as serological test and purification and isotyping of the monoclonal antibodies using affinity methods.
The project has funded by Australian Centre for International Agriculture Research (ACIAR). A paper will be published in a high ranking journal.
