Mutation rate estimates in early European farmers

This project will consist in sequencing the whole genome of pairs of related early European farmers (parent-child), estimate the genomic mutation rate, and compare it to the mutation rate reported from the analysis of modern pedigrees.

The work is based at the Australian Centre for Ancient DNA (ACAD), and will be both experimental and computer-based.
