Design & implement a sheep breeding program at Roseworthy

Visit Roseworthy campus

In this animal science honours project, you will have the opportunity to comprehensively design a breeding program for the Roseworthy sheep flock and assist in its implementation.

The Roseworthy farm is currently considering a major change to its sheep flock, involving the establishment of a ram breeding nucleus to breed its own ram replacements. This presents a great opportunity to develop a comprehensive and innovative plan and to be part of its implementation.

Key methodology: Various computer software packages for helping to design breeding objectives, assess breeding options and predict genetic gain.
